Baltic Anomaly: New Expedition After Astonishing Images

Posted on September 4, 2012

“Somewhere, something incredible is waiting to be known.” – Carl Sagan

Veteran Swedish treasure hunters, the Ocean Explorer Team will at last embark on a long anticipated return trip to the massive and mysterious object lying some 85 metres under the Baltic Sea – known simply as the “Baltic Anomaly”.

Special report by Craig Brown (Editor)

  • New Multi-Beam Sonar Images Released Contradict Mainstream “Explanations”
  • Voyage Begins Next Saturday 8th September and Will Last 8-9 days
  • Team Will Look At Other Shipwrecks Also To Finance This Project
  • Excitement As Team Will Investigate Second Anomaly For The First Time
  • New Expedition Should Provide More Answers To Object’s Origin
  • New Images Show 2-3 Metre Long Square With Perfectly Round Hole Inside
  • Depressions With Perfectly Straight Edges Many Metres Long

The team, led by OceanX founders Dennis Aasberg and Peter Lindberg will leave Norrtälje harbour, Sweden on the 8th September after a second trip in July ended in disappointment due to multiple equipment failures. Despite this previous setback, the team are determined to get answers and when you see the latest sonar images you will understand why.

Out of place

This unnatural looking mushroom shaped structure protrudes vertically upwards out of the normally featureless seabed by an incredible 12 metres (40 feet) with the dome on top spanning an impressive 60 metres (180 feet) – equivalent to the wingspan of a commercial airliner.  This is no small find!

Not only is the massive scale of the object utterly impressive, but the other thing that hits you between the eyes is also how ridiculously out of place it seems.  The Baltic Sea is what’s known as a “dead-zone”  with massive expanses of flat and featureless seabed. Yet in the middle of it all we find a 12 metre high champagne cork shaped object literally – “sticking up like a sore thumb”. Then there is the tantalizing prospect of the as yet uninvestigated second and third anomalies lying close by and begging closer inspection.

When news first broke of the finding back in June? 2011 a sensationalist world media jumped on the images comparing the sidescan sonar images to Han Solo’s Millenium Falcon.  In truth, there was a very real visual similarity when the top-down views were compared but not much in the way of substance beyond that.  The OceanX team, like the rest of us, were eager to solve the mystery and so here we are on the verge of another return trip and another voyage into the unknown, or perhaps a voyage into our own distant human origins.

OceanX Co-Founder - Dennis Aasberg

Announcing the new expedition a few days ago Ocean X Co-Founder Dennis  Aasberg said…

“We go out from Norrtälje 7 or 8 september, and it is not we were hoping for … we are missing some equipment unfortunately. And now we also look at object 2 with ROV. We will also look at a wreck which we hope has load of interesting things so we can get money into the project … for that we need now.”

“Investigation continues, we will take more samples, more photos and movies, and identify the object if we can. before when we were there we saw only 30 cm. We will also try to find the hole …. and if we do, we will bring down a camera. We will also look at object 2. Now we hope that everything works and that the weather is good.” -- Dennis Aasberg

Worldwide interest

Interest in the anomaly has been intense and unrelenting.  Even now, some 14 months after the initial discovery was announced, more and more people are becoming fascinated by the story, perhaps due to the fact that if anything, the anomaly becomes MORE mysterious with every new revelation and release of images.  The range of discoveries have gradually woven an emerging picture that whatever this is, it is probably very very old and parts of it (if not all of it), have in some way been constructed or fashioned.

Unnatural features defy explanation

Small stone circles with the appearance of arranged fireplaces were found in multiple locations lying on top of the main 180 ft wide dome, along with a strange 4 metre wide mini-dome, unashamedly  nicknamed -  “The Meringue”.  As if your weirdometer wasn’t pinging enough already, divers found a perfectly round 25-30cm hole embedded in the structure followed by discoveries that have no right to be there; extremely large perfect 90 degree right angles, straight edges shaped like doorways, windows and passages many metres long.  Surfaces that look like concrete and are perfectly smooth. Then there’s the bizarre resemblance to a huge set of  eight “stairs” each one 3 foot tall descending down one side of the anomaly as if once crafted by giants and left preserved there for eons. Lastly, and more impressive, the recently published Facebook  sonar images that show more angular and geometric features with one astonishing image showing a 2-3 metre wide perfectly circular hole nested inside a perfectly square cavity.

Expedition costs

Expeditions such as this are extremely expensive.  Diesel for the voyage alone costs many thousands of Euros, a crew of expert divers also need to be paid; then there is the hire costs for the multi-million dollar manifest of equipment such as the remotely piloted submarine; not to mention paying a chef, a captain, other crew members and buying enough food to last 11 people for over a week. These costs have to be paid by someone if any of us anxiously awaiting updates here on dry-land are to find out the true nature of what is down there on the seabed.

The Documentary

To help offset the significant personal investments OceanX owners have made in this, the team have acquired a few welcome sponsors along the way to cover the huge expense of simply investigating the anomaly.  The main sponsor is Swedish Television production company Titan TV who were smart enough to realise that there would be phenomenal worldwide interest in the discovery and an opportunity to sell a documentary to a flock of eager TV channels.

The OceanX team needed considerable finance to go back out and explore the anomaly, and in return Titan would get exclusive footage and access to the expeditions in order to make their documentary film.

This decision seems to have been a bit of a double-edged sword for the team; on one hand they managed to acquire the source of funding they so desperately needed in order to make return expeditions to the site, but on the other hand they would now be limited through signed legally binding contracts as to what (if any) of the most controversial footage they could release before the documentary is broadcast.  Reading between the lines and listening to the online discussions of the team it is clear that there is some incredible footage yet to be made public.

Although frustrating for most people desperate to know more, it is understandable given the huge costs of assembling a team and getting them on-site for up to a week at a time.  The finished Titan TV documentary when televised will surely blow the lid on an already explosive story and give this unique discovery the worldwide acclaim it deserves.

Note: Truthfall tried to contact Titan TV on several occasions for comment and to find out more on their documentary project, but as of publication of this article our emails have remained unanswered.

“When we went out and saw the walls which were straight and smooth, it was frightening, as in a science-fiction film” – Dennis Åsberg – Ocean Explorer Co-Founder

Newly Released  Sonar Images Fuel Artificial Construction Theory

“If this normal in the middle of the sea on a round object … then I do not know what to believe anymore.” – Dennis Aasberg (Oceanx Team Co-Founder)

In the last two weeks the OceanX team have shared new multi-beam sonar images on Facebook that are utterly confounding.  There appears to be genuine evidence in these images that elements of the structure (if not the entire structure) has been constructed or crafted, not by nature, but by an intelligence that was around a long time ago when the Baltic Sea was once dry land.  It should be noted that the last time the Baltic Sea was dry land was The Pleistocene age (2,588,000 to 11,700 years ago).

While it is true to say that certain geometry can occur in natural basalt formations much like the Giant’s Causeway in Ireland, there is no current precedent for the sheer scale and complexity of what has been found in the Baltic.  If mainstream science has an adequate explanation for how a 200 ft wide mushroom shaped anomaly can contain perfectly square depressions, some of which contain perfectly circular depressions nested within them then there are many who would love to hear it.

The list of suggestions for what the anomaly may be reads like a who’s who of volcanic / glacial features. All this despite the fact that evidence of volcanic activity has never ever been found in the Baltic region and even the most competent expert on glaciation would balk at the idea of  trying to explain many of the more peculiar features nested within the structure of this fascinating object.

In a recent Facebook exchange Dennis gave his own views on the artificiality of the object…

Philippe Guégan: “Dennis, do you know if Peter still gives a 99% chance that the object is of natural origin?  – He said it last year, but before diving? thank you”

Dennis: “It was before we dived, it looks to be constructed. but very old.”

"The Meringue" - Approximately 4 metres wide is only one of many strange features sitting on TOP of the dome of the formation.

What is the strange hole and where does it lead?

This newly released multi-beam sonar image shows yet more straight edges which seemingly contradict mainstream explanations. Click for larger image.

Yet more unexplained straight lines.

Square depression with round hole looks almost certainly "manufactured" or crafted somehow. Click for larger image.

Do you understand me now that I can not sleep? …and this is not the only pictures we have … do you believe it is something unique now?- Dennis Aasberg

Throughout the exploration project Co-Founder Peter Lindberg has been the more reserved in his judgement of the artificiality of the object, but in a recent statement he admits there are aspects of the anomaly he cannot comprehend…

“Regarding the articles in Fox News other media; there is nothing strange with what Volker are saying, it is a theory as good as any. Volker has looked at the loose rocks we have brought up and to us he said it is strange with the basaltic rock which is not common for the area but there could always be a chance of that the rock had come there with the ice anyway, in some way…”

Editor’s Note: Volker Brüchert is an associate professor of geology at Stockholm University who has been given some samples of rock that the team brought back.  The  samples that form the “definitive” conclusions given by certain websites are not from the main body of the anomaly, but loose rocks found in the vicinity of the site.

“I have at several occasions here at Facebook been very positive regarding these kind of theories presented by different persons and have commented them in that way. So of course I get sad when I read about my self like I’m some kind of con man. I still think it will be explained as a natural formation but as I have told before, we have discovered things that even I have difficulties to apprehend. But I guess these strange things will be explained along our way to fully explore the circle.”

“I guess I will write some more things about this since I guess these articles will really throw petrol on the fire. As a final comment to Volker’s gambit I just want to say that it must be very convenient to be able to sit at an office and still have all the answers…” – Peter Lindberg (OceanX Co-Founder)

“So much false rumors … but I’m getting used to it now. We have not been able to take samples from the object. — So no one can know what it is”.

“We have only taken samples from the rocks near the object. — Which is examined. We have a lot of movie time where showing something new and unique. answers from researchers — have never seen anything like it.”

“What I think … in my eyes it looks like it may be constructed but if it is I do not know.” – Dennis Aasberg

OceanX Community

The OceanX Team’s Facebook page, which started off as a small group of interested individuals now boasts an impressive 12,700 members and growing! The OceanX Team’s regular communications are mostly conducted through this large but close-knit Facebook community. Members here represent dozens upon dozens of countries and they all have one particular thing in common – they want to know what the hell is lying 85 metres deep on the bottom of the Baltic Sea. There is a genuine family feel within this group and one cannot help becoming enthused by the shared spirit of discovery and co-operation.

The discussions are lively and seem to be conducted almost 24 hours a day.  A friendly group of page admins from various countries do very well in keeping order and maintaining the focus on-topic and as a result 99% of the discussion is conducted sensibly and with mutual respect.

The Facebook Group has become an inspirational focus for the continued efforts of the team with more support than they could ever have hoped for.  The group’s efforts truly showcase the combined people power of the internet and somehow you get the feeling that this small group of determined people really can change the world.

Ongoing Funding

The initial expectations were perhaps that the object would be quickly identified and that a rational explanation fitting within accepted historical context would be applied.  However, even after multiple expeditions to the object, an adequate explanation remains elusive.  This in turn has created a more long term need for a funding strategy as it seems more exploration will need to be carried out.  Members of the Facebook group responded to the shortfall of funding by deluging the team with offers of personal donations and fundraising, but the team have resisted all approaches at charitable donations, preferring instead to fund-raise through the sale of their OceanX clothing brand.

The Main Anomaly

The main object lies 80-90 metres deep and has been described as similar to “a champagne cork” (ironic, given the fact the OceanX Team’s successes involve finding expensive champagne). The object could be thought of as comprising 2 main sections – a pillar and a dome. The main thick pillar or foundation rises approximately 12 metres straight up out of the seabed which is then capped by a dome approx 4 metres thick and 60 metres in diameter – the whole thing similar in many ways to a mushroom shape.

“It looked just like it (concrete), we’ve worked with concrete before since we’re professional divers. And that’s what it looks like under water, the damage to the pores and things like that, and very smooth, you know.” – Peter Lindberg.

The Second Anomaly

Some 200 metres away from the main anomaly lies anomaly two – initially described as looking like “a gothic church window” from the first sidescan sonar images.  This object is far smaller and was originally thought to perhaps be a broken-off piece of the main anomaly. So far this object has remained unexplored, but yet may indeed yield the biggest clues as to what the main anomaly really is.  The previous expedition had been all set to explore this object when disaster struck and the ROV suffered catastrophic damage when seawater got inside.

Anomaly Three

“The possible skid tracks start 1500 meters (4,921 feet) south and travel north where they end at each of the two more well-known anomalies. At the point of convergence 1500 metres away there is actually another anomaly which looks like a huge rock approx. 90 feet high and 900 feet in diameter with a big crack running through it approx. 120-180 feet wide and 60 feet deep. And yes, the crack’s direction are the same as the ‘tracks.

Previous Expedition Plagued By Equipment Failure

There were big plans for the  last expedition to the anomaly back in July.  The team had better equipment on board including a sophisticated multi-beam sonar which they planned to use for constructing a sonar mosaic of the entire site.  Just as the ROV was launched to go and look at the second anomaly it blew when water got inside to the electronics.

Here OceanX Team co-founder Peter Lindberg explains the difficulties experienced on the previous expedition…

Peter Lindberg – July 22nd

“Here is the short story about our last expedition: Bad weather and equipment failure!”

“Here is the longer story: We had very bad visibility and quite strong currents down around the circle. The ROV (Remotely Operated Vehicle) worked for a while but we could not record the ROV camera because of a human error (the remote to the hard-disc DVD was forgotten ashore). We had to take photos directly from the screen to be able get something recorded. The BlueView sonar did not work properly but I think we at least have enough snapshots from it to be able to make a sonar mosaic.”

Ancylus anchored above the object in the Baltic Sea

OceanX diver plunges into the water above the anomaly 85 metres below.

“The divers have shoot some film when they took new samples but due to the visibility and currents they were not able to take the samples from where we had planed, we’ll see what the samples will tell us. Stefan, (one of the divers), had mounted 3 GoPro cameras and a Contour camera on a rig with lights. The contour and one of the go Pro’s worked, the other two did not record anything. The divers could also tell that where they were they could not notice any magnetism. We tried to find the hole which we knew must be at 75 meters depth, as you can see on the ROV monitor, but we could not find it. I was my self driving the ROV around and I’m quite confused that it seems like it gone, which its obviously not. So I’m sorry to say that we can’t say anything about the hole at this stage. I guess we must try to find it next time, if there will be a next time. We did not find any more holes though.”

“We decided to go to object no 2 with the ROV but when it was launched four smoke filled bubbles came up and the ROV was dead in the water. We recovered it and spent many hours trying to locate the fault. We found that the tether (cable) had a short circuit and had burned a hole right through the isolation of the tether, so water came in. With 600 Volts in the tether things happens when coming in contact with water. We did not have the right material to fix the cable at site and we do not send the divers down before we have checked with the ROV. So it was only one thing to do, leave for home port.”

Illustration showing the ROV exploring the gap between the foundation pillar and the dome.

Foundation & Pillar Appear To Be Separate Objects

In another intriguing development, the anomaly may well be comprised of two separate structures, possibly made of entirely different materials. Peter Lindberg explained in an exchange of the group’s Facebook Page – “Well that was pretty much all of it. Well I forgot one thing, it appears that we have the upper part separated from the foundation.”

Roger Magnussønn Westgård: “In other words, the foundation is separated from the upper part of the object?”

Peter Lindberg: “Roger: Yes it looks like that, the gap is impossible to enter the whole way in with the ROV because it getting to narrowed so I do not know how it looks like further into the gap.” I think you must think of this object being there for a very long time, natural or made in some way. “I can’t tell whether the foundation and the upper part are of the same material or not.”

When asked about equipment failures on the second dive, Peter replied, “We’re always facing equipment problems when we are on our expeditions so for me it’s nothing strange, even if it has been a bit more than usual.” – “Yes, I’m puzzled why I could not find the hole.”

Peter Lindberg“The ROV claw is 100 mm when it’s fully opened” “I stick to my former line, if it is made it is of pre-ice age.”

Laura: “Did you get to explore the Volcanic-like mountain? Add what did you discover there.”

Peter Lindberg: “Laura: No, we did not passed it and it was to much of bad weather to think of the volcano but I’m sure it still there waiting for us.”

“The thing with the Multi Beam sonar (3D images) is that all of it was more or less f*cked up. We have a company working with trying to get something out of the recorded data. I have seen a picture and hopefully we will all be happy in the end, but we have not got the result we hoped for. It was something wrong with a motion sensor and we had got the water sound velocity readings wrong when measuring it with a spacial probe.”

The “Stairs”

Lindberg continued…

“Someone asked about the stairs, there is stair shaped formations but I do not know if I have got it right. I thought they were on one side but on the Multi beam image they appeared to be on an other side. I will come back to the stairs when I can study an image from a different angle.”

“They hammered off a couple of pieces from a huge rock formation on top of the circle, but it seams like that part is not really a part of the larger circular body. We was thinking that if it is an volcano the material with the smooth surface maybe was basalt and that the rocks on top were ordinary rock that has been broke and pushed up on top of the magma. But since the divers hardly could not see anything they just took samples from where they landed and that was on the highest point.”

“It surely looks strange I can not say anything else. But if those formations in Japan are natural I guess the chances for the circle to be constructed is very small.”

“There are some stunning video sequences which will not be released until the documentary is broadcasted and I can not tell you what it is because I will be much poorer than I am to day if I do, final! No more questions about that”.

“Hello people, I have not made this so called telephone interview which I will paste a quote of at the end of this comment. We where not followed by the coast guard, however, the Swedish navy showed up and came close with one vessel. But they left after a while without any attempts of coming close or asking us what we were doing. They headed north and joined a fleet of 6 other navy vessels which we could see with binoculars.”

“Well here is a quote of an interview I never have participated in, in other words; I deny it completely “I don’t have any proof of course, but I will say that I think our equipment failures had something to do with the Coast Guard boat that was around us during the entire expedition. Even though they did not hinder or crowd us, their vessel was larger and more sophisticated than most of the Coast Guard boats we typically see, and it was never more than 400 meters away from the dive site.”

“It is known that electronic jamming devices exist, and that most of the world’s military powers have them, so why would I think Sweden does not? Wouldn’t that be a more plausible explanation for our equipment failures than saying it was alien forces? Especially since the government intruded so quickly and heavily into our first discovery of the object, including confiscating my data, but made no contact or effort to interfere with this trip to the site.”

We will hopefully be able to do some ROV dives on the second anomaly and figure out what it is. The staircase comment was slipped from my mouth, and probably too early. I have seen something that looks like a stair, or steps, on the Multi Beam raw data. And it looks like they going from the missing part on the left side of the side scan image from last year and down to the bottom. I could only count to eight of them and that should mean that every step should be like a meter high which is a bit to high for a person to use. If there actually are something that looks like steps they probably just natural.”

Debunkers “explanations” fall flat

One of the first things you learn when writing about discoveries that challenge the official account of history or anything that defies establishment dogma is that there is a certain section of individuals who will try to explain away the unexplainable at any cost, and with the most ridiculous explanations – for details on these groups and individuals please see our page on Pseudoscepticism.

In June, LifesLittleMysteries.com published an article trying attempting  to  debunk any explanation which did not fit with the standard historical model.  Back then, they suggested that the OceanX team were running an “elaborate scam” with their story entitled – “Is the Baltic Sea ‘Sunken UFO’ an Elaborate Scam?”.

They contacted an “expert” who has never dived on the object nor seen it in real life who helpfully explained away the anomaly as a “pillow basalt”. A subsequent search of the interwebs for pillow basalts revealed no natural pillow basalts  on the same scale or geometric complexity as the Baltic Anomaly – not to mention anything with perfectly circular holes, right angles and corridor-like depressions running for many metres.

Since the initial article they have changed their tune several times.  So far it has been “a pillow basalt”, then it was an “elaborate scam”, now it’s a “glacial deposit”. Presumably glaciers now have the ability to carve windows, corridors and perfect circles? It would be nice if they could stick to one explanation, but it seems to change depending on what way the wind is blowing and which “expert” is happy for media exposure.

The latest article proclaims “Mysterious Baltic Sea Object Is  A Glacial Deposit”.  While it may turn out to be the case, no expert to date is on record stating this as fact.  It is merely a hypothesis based on rock samples of rocks found near the object (not of the actual object itself) yet LifesLittleMysteries.com makes the proclamation as though it were undisputed fact.

The article also fails to mention the most glaring inconsistencies in their statement that it is just a lump of basalt.  Nowhere do they mention the neatly arranged collection of rocks or “fireplaces” found on the top of the dome, “The Meringue”, the bizarre perfectly round hole in the side of the structure, the long straight corridor-like depressions, or the latest find – a perfectly round hole nested within another  perfectly square hole. These features are entirely inconsistent with the view that it’s an entirely natural object.  It may well be a glacial object, but if it is, then it may be a glacial deposit that shows evidence of early human activity and craftsmanship which does not fit neatly with the accepted historical perspective or timeline.

Corrections To Recent Daily Mail Article

UK Newspaper the “Daily Mail” recently published an update to their ongoing article regarding the Baltic anomaly.  While it was welcome to see that they had rightly described recent pro-establishment types  as  “debunkers” there were a number of factually incorrect details in the article which it is important for the reader to understand.

They stated “Object ‘is raised about 10 to 13ft above seabed”.  The object actually rises 10-13 METRES above the seabed which roughly equates to 40 feet.

Frustratingly, they are still choosing to include the sensationalist images of Han Solo’s Millennium Falcon which does nothing to promote any serious investigation of the anomaly.  The anomaly as we reported previously is “Far Stranger Than Any UFO Discovery” and does not need sensationalist images for anyone to realise that it is a historical pandoras box waiting to be opened.  Presumably, Daily Mail readers need to be slapped over the head with sensationalism in order to maintain their short attention span.

Also infuriating, was the Mail’s use of an out-of-date artistic depiction of the anomaly.  As the data gathering on the structure and features of the anomaly has progressed artist Hauke Vagt has continually updated and refined his artists impressions to reflect the new sonar data and diver descriptions.  The Daily Mail have bizarrely chosen to print his original depiction instead of the more accurate newer image which you can see at the top of this article, presumably again because it is far more sensationalist than the up-to-date image.

Steven Greer Movie: Sirius Gets Serious

Posted on August 30, 2012

Disclosure movie Sirius is moving forward “with a full production schedule this month”, according to Dr Greer’s latest blog post.

The announcement comes amidst the inclusion of a baffling but tantalising statement about the possibly of visiting an EBE (Extraterrestrial Biological Being).

The movie is described by Dr Greer as “A film that is the culmination of 22 years of research and discovery and journey in space and time and consciousness and it’s going to be the most significant release of information on the UFO subject and new energy that has ever occurred”

In his blog, Dr Greer said…

Many have asked about the Sirius movie in light of the tragic killing of Arm Kaleka’s father at the Sikh Temple. We all want you to know that are moving forward with a full production schedule this month and have just returned from Mt. Shasta CA where substantial footage of Contact was obtained.

Next week our senior team will be filmed here in VA and new Disclosure witnesses filmed in Washington DC and environs.

We will be in LA September 16 for a presentation that I will be making at the Broad Street Theater which will be a comprehensive presentation on Disclosure, Contact and New Energy that will be filmed. This presentation will be the thread that pulls the Sirius movie together. You are ALL invited to attend!

We are making plans now to visit the possible EBE (Extraterrestrial Biological Being).

Dr. Steven Greer, founder of the worldwide Disclosure Movement and the Center for the Study of Extraterrestrial Intelligence is working with Emmy award winning filmmaker Amardeep Kaleka and his team at Neverending Light Productions to produce one of the most significant films of our time.

This film exposes the greatest story never told:

  • The Earth has been visited by people from other worlds who are not malicious, but in fact concerned for the future of humanity.
  • A cabal of military, industrial and financial interests have kept this contact and what we have learned from it secret for over 60 years.
  • Their secrecy is meant to suppress the knowledge that can liberate the world from the yoke of oil, gas, coal and nuclear power and replace the current world order with one of New Energy and true Freedom.

  • I. The first section of the film will share the vast scope of evidence that ET’s exist, from official government documents, high-level witness testimony and audio and visual evidence. Disclosure and CSETI have the largest library of never before seen footage gathered over 20 years of study.
  • II. Next, we interview a group of brilliant scientists who aim to expose long-held secret technologies. They show us how energy can be derived from the fabric of space around us, and how industrial cartels have suppressed this information. What did Nicola Tesla know, and why did the FBI seize his papers upon his death? Man-made anti-gravity vehicles have been in use for over half a century, some even used to perpetuate the ET abduction hoax in order to control the masses. Now is the time for these technologies to be acknowledged and developed for peaceful energy purposes.
    • III. In the final section, we explore CONTACT: the CE-5 principles and how to build a bridge to a trans-dimensional universe. We will also share how the average person can make contact with people from other worlds. They are only a thought away…

Geometrically Perfect 300 Foot Crop Circle: Hackpen Hill

Posted on August 28, 2012

This amazing geometrically perfect 3D Cube crop formation was spotted on Hackpen Hill, Wiltshire on 28/08/2012.  This amazingly complex and intricate pattern is more than 300 feet in diameter and spans four sets of “tram-lines”.  How is it possible for something so large and complex and yet so perfect to be created by humans on the ground with no aerial perspective.  Sceptics would say this was created by a couple of guys from the local pub with planks and rope – I think not.

Steorn In €50 Million A Year HephaHeat Bonanza

Posted on August 3, 2012

Sunday Times Ireland’s business section contained a surprising new article on intellectual property development firm Steorn.

Their HephaHeat hot water boiling technology looks certain to reinvigorate the companies finances with two multinational companies seeking to incorporate HephaHeat into consumer and commercial products netting Steorn royalties of around €50 Million per annum by 2017.

 Sunday Times Ireland reported…

“The Dublin technology company that claimed it could produce energy from nothing says that it has signed collaboration agreements with two large multinational manufacturers writes Tim Madigan.”

Steorn Logo

The agreements cover the design work  required to incorporate Steorn’s HephaHeat technology into products that use steam and hot water.

This development marks the first time consumer product manufacturers have considered using HephaHeat in their designs.

Steorn courted controversy by placing an advert in the Economist in 2006 inviting scientists to inspect it’s Orbo technology, which it claimed produced “free, clean and constant energy”.

A two-year verification process overseen by a scientific jury concluded that Steorn has “not shown any evidence of energy production”.

The manufacturers, more convinced of the technology’s potential, are keen to enter into a design phase with the company.

HephaHeat is the tradename for Orbo in heating applications.

Steorn has raised 19 million Euros from investors to date according to Sean McCarthy, Steorn’s chief executive.  Recently filed accounts show accumulated losses had reached 17.2m by the end of 2010.

If manufacturers include HephaHeat in their products, a license agreement is envisaged which would provide a royalty fee for each product sold.

HephaHeat technology is designed for electric water-heating products aimed at the domestic and commercial water-heating industry.

McCarthy claims that royalty fees from these agreements could be bringing in up to 50 million a year by 2017 if these deals progress beyond the design stage.”

The article appeared in the print edition only and is shown below. Click for larger image.

What is HephaHeat?

The Steorn website states that…

HephaHeat low frequency induction heating is a patent pending method of using induction systems without the need for additional expensive power supplies.

Our systems are uniquely designed to plug directly into mains supplied AC and by utilising the 50 / 60Hz line frequency we replace the large and expensive power supplies normally required for induction heaters.

This provides simplicity, reliability and low cost with our systems – yet brings the same advantages of existing induction heating technology principles.

Principle of operation

The system works by charging a metallic thermal store to a high temperature (500 to 900°C). By using a material such as steel, which has approximately the same volumetric heat capacity as water, substantially more thermal energy may be retained than in a similar tanked volume of water.

When hot water is required, the cold water input is split into two separate branches. One is allowed to flow into the thermal store with the flow rate controlled by a standard valve. When this branch flows through the thermal store it is instantaneously converted to steam which is then mixed (via a steam injector) into the second branch of cold water.

This mix of steam to cold water allows the output water temperature to be controlled.

What is induction heating?

Induction heating relies on the principle of electromagnetic induction. This principle states that when a conductive material is placed in a rapidly changing magnetic field a current will flow in the conductive material.

eCat: Prometeon SRL To Be Exclusive Italian Licensee

Posted on July 25, 2012

Prometeon S.R.L. will be the exclusive license holder for eCat sales in Italy and San Marino.

*The energy catalyzer is a revolutionary LENR technology which uses miniscule amounts of powdered Nickel and pressurized Hydrogen to produce vast amounts of energy.  The energy catalyzer (if verified) has the potential to revolutionize every aspect of life, geopolitics and finance on the planet. Earlier this year NASA officials put their considerable weight behind LENR as the next revolutionary energy solution.

Prometeon chief Aldo Proia, who has a background in solar energy systems has recently struck the deal with eCat inventor and head of Leonardo Corp – Andrea Rossi.

Official eCat Logo? - According to some sources this is the official eCat product logo.

The press release states…

“By signing the licensing agreement to sell for Italy and San Marino, has begun the task of Prometeon Ltd., a company that will operate in the production of energy as the exclusive licensee and commercialize a revolutionary technology for the production of thermal energy low cost developed by the American Society Leonardo Corporation.

Commercial director and managing director of Prometeon is Aldo Proia, already active in recent years in the difficult field of renewable energies as a project manager or manager of several companies, with which it has led to authorization, and then realized as EPC contractor, over 15 MW large photovoltaic plants on behalf of Italian and foreign investors.”

Proia said…
“Our company is ready to operate throughout the country, but at first we turn especially to businesses in North and Central Italy, especially for medium and large industrial companies, making the E-Cat heat as energy source a very low cost for process heat and heating, our core business. The machine, in fact, it generates heat in the form of hot water or steam and can develop even at elevated temperatures.”

Mysterious Booms Are Back

Posted on July 24, 2012

Over the past few months strange booms and in some cases sounds similar to trumpets have been heard all accross the United States and in various European countries. Last night’s booms were described by a Wisconsin resident as “Like someone slamming the earth with a big machine”.

There have been no reports for the last few weeks, but today Infowars.com reports:

Mysterious booms that plagued several towns in Wisconsin earlier this year appear to have returned, with an eyewitness reporting hearing the strange noises repeatedly over a 30 minute period last night.

“…the phenomenon appears to have returned with a Wisconsin resident telling us how they experienced a series of sustained booms last night over a period of half an hour.”

“I live about 60 miles from Baraboo and my family and I heard some booms last night just a little after 1am,” writes Shawn McConaghy

“Sound and shaking didn’t appear to be from the same central point…it was weird! It went on for 30 minutes or so and we heard about 20 booms. To me they sounded like someone slamming the earth with a big machine,” added McConaghy, noting that the booms also sounded like “a giant walking”.

“We live out in the country and i’m not aware of anyone else hearing it,” he adds.

Over the last year, there have been a rash of reports concerning strange noises heard both underground and in the sky.

From bizarre “groaning” sounds to trumpet-like noises, a lot of the reports can be explained away as hoaxes or some form of mass hysteria as we approach the end of the year and fever builds over widely discussed Mayan prophecies about end of the world scenarios.

However, the booms heard in Wisconsin are by no means a figment of people’s imagination. They have beenmeasured and documented by audio engineers.

Theories as to their cause have ranged from the mundane to the exotic.

Some think the booms are caused by underground tunneling machines which are being used to drill subterranean military bases.

G20: Fortress Brisbane – Snipers, Missiles and Naked Body Scanners

Posted on July 23, 2012

Surface to air missiles, sniper teams, roadblocks and combat aircraft and a host of other Orwellian security measures will descend on the city for the 2014 G20 summit.

Brisbane train commuters could also face humiliating and degrading American TSA style naked body scanners which look set to be introduced on trains for the upcoming G20 Summit in 2014.

Full body scanners can also be harmful to security personnel standing in close proximity over a sustained period.

Brisbane, the capital city of the state of Queensland, Australia will play host to the world leaders including US President Barack Obama, British Prime Minister David Cameron and German Chancellor Angela Merkel in 2014 as it hosts the summit at the Brisbane Exhibition and Conference Centre.

The Convention Centre backs onto a vital commuter rail route through the city as well as a major transport hub which officials are worried could be exploited by terrorists. Yes, you will have to be irradiated and made sterile to protect your liberty from those mostly invisible and pesky terrorists who are hell-bent on launching attacks from caves.

News.com.au reported…

ARC Centre of Excellence in Policing and Security director Simon Bronitt said train and bus lines through South Bank were a potential threat to world leaders at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre and may have to be closed.

“Obviously public infrastructure is always a target and a decision will have to be made about whether these lines stay open during the summit,” he said. “‘I was traveling recently on the Beijing tube and they actually use full body scanners before you enter every tube station. That measure seems appropriate in this situation.”

*So the twisted logic here seems to be that if it’s OK for the communist Chinese, then that must mean it’s perfectly within reason for the rest of us. There is also the possibility that the scanners will not be removed even after the G20 has ended which will be “sold” to the public under the guise of “public safety”.

City Lockdown

Brisbane’s Courier Mail reported…

BRISBANE’S G20 fortress will be guarded by up to 7000 police and army, roof-top snipers, fighter jets and helicopters while specialist divers could be used in Brisbane River.

Counter-terrorism experts have deemed the $370 million event in 2014 a “moderate” risk, maintaining a terrorist attack could occur because of the US President.

“Given the nature of the event, the presence of some of the most powerful leaders of the planet, the event will be regarded as requiring a very serious counter-terrorism plan,” said Neil Fergus, chief executive of Intelligent Risks and security adviser to the 2000 Sydney Olympics and Rio 2016 Olympic bid.”

“Experts said army aircraft such as FA-18 Super Hornets and Black Hawk helicopters would probably assist sniper teams, with hotels booked out a month in advance for security teams to sweep areas. Ferry access could be limited and areas of South Bank closed, while residents living within secured areas would need permits.” “Roadblocks manned by police will check credentials at hard and soft perimeters and when delegates move to Brisbane’s Convention Centre, in West End, rolling lockdowns will take place across the city, with large delays. The Federal Government has not ruled out surface-to-air missile systems used at six sites at the 2012 London Olympics.”

“Experts estimated 7000 police and security would be needed for Brisbane’s G20, compared with 21,000 for the Toronto G20 summit in 2010. Former Canadian paratrooper and G8 security member Andy McCutcheon said that up to 12 sniper teams could be needed to guard the Convention Centre and divers could be used in the Brisbane River.”

“Mr Fergus said the Queensland Police Commissioner should have “ultimate responsibility”, working with federal and state police, SAS, ASIO and other agencies, security contractors and G20-member security.”

London Olympics 2012: Whistleblower Reveals Potential False Flag Attack

Posted on July 4, 2012

An undercover journalist going by the pseudonym ‘Lee Hazledean’ (now revealed as Ben Fellows), has blown the whistle on astounding revelations about how he infiltrated the G4S – the company responsible for security at the London Olympics – and discovered shocking plans for the evacuation of London, 200,000 ‘casket linings’ being on standby, along with botched security procedures that leave the Games wide open to attack.

Fellows’s interview with Tony Gosling, Bilderberg.org editor and host of BCFM’s Friday Drivetime, has gone viral on the web over the last few days. Fellows is an undercover journalist for a television program in London and has worked with news agencies on hard-hitting subjects, but when he approached the mainstream media with his bombshell story, they showed no interest.

When Fellows asked Channel 4 News Home Affairs Correspondent Andy Davies if he would run the story, Davies said he wasn’t interested and days later Channel 4 ran a puff piece about G4S which portrayed the organization as competent and trustworthy.

“I sent him an email, I called, he wasn’t interested and he said there’s a media blackout on this kind of story, that nobody would be interested in running it,” said Fellows.

OceanX Team: New Expedition To The Baltic Anomaly Sets Sail

Posted on July 3, 2012

A return trip to the Baltic Anomaly will set sail tomorrow on July 10th. Veteran treasure hunters, Peter Lindberg and Dennis Aasberg will set sail from Norrtälje harbour once again and return to the site in an effort to gather more information in the hope of finally being able to say exactly what the object 80 metres down on the bottom of the Baltic Sea is. The trip is expected to last approximately 10-12 days.

Special Report by Craig Brown

I asked Peter Lindberg “Is this the last trip from you guys to the anomaly in the foreseeable future?”  his answer? – “Most likely”.

As new details of the structure emerge German artist Hauke Vagt has been continually refining his depictions of the anomaly - here is the latest one complete with the steps or "staircase".

Despite 2 previous trips and multiple dives later the Swedish OceanX team are still no closer to positively identifying the massive 200 ft wide object which stands an impressive 12 metres tall out of the surrounding seabed, however there are strong indications at this stage that the object has been made, or fashioned due to the many right angles and bizarre unnatural looking features that cover it. This third expedition will aim to gather more evidence, explore the second anomaly and will hope to eliminate some possible theories on the nature of the object.

What is the strange hole and where does it lead?

The round hole

There is a curious approx 25 cm round hole near the edge of the dome on the structure, footage of which was captured on the previous trip.  Lindberg addressed rumours that it was egg-shaped – he said – “The hole is not egg shaped, it is round. We’ll see when we are at site how we get the camera down the hole, on a stick or on a rope” he  joked – “No one has put their arm down the hole yet, I challenged Stefan, one of the divers, if he dared to put his arm down to it if he found it. Lucky me he did not because I had probably lost the bet.”

Peter was asked, “If the object is hollow are there any plans on sending a camera into it“, to which he replied – “We have a probe camera to send down the hole but not more than that. Maybe the divers just have to knock on the door…”

The team will spend time looking for more holes and confirm if this is the only one or whether the one they found is just one of many.

Close up of artist Hauke Vagt's painting showing the "staircase" - each individual "step" is approx 1 metre in height.

Staircase like structure

Peter Lindberg confirmed the “staircase” reference was an example to describe what he saw and that it is comprised of 8 steps with each step a 1 meter drop starting from the missing section on the left hand side of the object.

Object Material

The surface is described as “not entirely smooth”,  and some places the “cement” is cracking. It has the appearance of something resembling granite, and the surface of the anomaly is made of different material than the main pillar. The complete test results on the stones and what material they are made of are not yet back however they did say the following -  “There are a lot of stones in the Baltic. Much has been dropped from the ice during the ice-age and when it melted. But stones can also be carried by “modern” ice during winters.  I will tell you this much to you even though we do not have the finished test results yet:  One of the stones are quite common for this location but created like several thousands of meters down in the earth’s crust. The other stone is not common for the Baltic and can be found in the mid-Atlantic.

On this trip the OceanX team will be bringing better equipment to attempt to successfully hammer a piece off the main body of the anomaly to take away and to have analyzed for details of it’s composition.

They did manage to hammer a piece off from the black material which can be seen inside the cracks and at some places on the anomaly. It looks like it has been “poured” out, like what you get when you cast tin soldiers. The blackish material can be crushed between your fingers.

A geologist will be part of the crew on this trip.

 Volcano  and Magma

There is what looks like a 50 meter high underwater “volcano-like mountain”, approx 10 nautical miles from the anomaly site. Meanwhile back at the actual site there appears to be magma underneath the object and on surrounding stones. It should be noted that to date, no volcanic activity has ever been recorded in the Baltic Sea.

ROV (Remotely Operated Vehicle) prepares to dive down to the anomaly.

Multi-Beam Sonar

The team will likely use the 3D sonar again to build a more detailed picture of how the entire site fits together. Apparently, it takes special data processing to assemble all the images and make sense of them, which is being done now on the second expedition data. Their goal is to produce a clear 3-dimensional image of the whole large object and perhaps a 3-D image of the second smaller object that is some distance away.

The Ridge

The original sonar images from last June showed what looked like a “skid mark” running for several thousand metres and ending at the object itself.  From the latest data it seems that this “skid mark” is in actual fact an undersea ridge.

Lindberg said – “What I have seen it looks like the ridge has its highest peak at the pillar, or foundation. It also looks like it’s synced in the sense of that the top of the ridge is in line with the center of the circle. The ridge’s sides can have different angles of its slopes.”

“The ridge has its highest point at the circle and no, I do not think it looks like a slid mark”.

When it was suggested that the ridge may in fact be a ramp Lindberg said – “You’re absolutely right, I have not thought about it in that way! Why not a ramp? Well it could certainly explain how the circle got on top of the pillar, if they are separated”.

Future Scientific Expedition

When asked which scientific group Peter thinks would be next to visit the object he said -  “I do not think it will be a Swedish group, I do not think it will be a Scandinavian group either.”

An eery mist descends around the ship.

Approximate location of the anomaly based on the anecdotal evidence so far.

The anomaly is thought to lie to the north of the Aland Islands.

Site Location

The actual location of the anomaly is still fairly secret, but recently it emerged that the trip from port to the object takes approximately 24 hours to complete. The anomaly is rumoured to be about 60 miles offshore between Sweden and Finland with the Aland Islands nearby.

The OceanX vessel "Ancylus" or as it is also known "The Baltic Falcon".

Facebook Questions

Information gained through various questions raised on the OceanX Facebook group has been collected and is presented below:

(1) They still do not know exactly what they have discovered.

(2) They have NEVER said that it’s a USO or a UFO. Other people and mostly media have been speculating on this story.

(3) Their treasure hunting has been their hobby, but now since the discovery of the anomaly its full time work to try and find out what this anomaly really is.

(4) Strange things happens around them including in Dennis’s house. Dennis is not comfortable speaking about this yet but when the time comes.

(5) They team feel that they are in the middle of a movie because of all the stuff that happens around them (media, emails etc) But they are grateful for all the positive feedback.

(6) They have taken some pictures and video that are very very interresting. These will be published in due course. Due to the contract they just cant publish it all just now.

(7) They do have a contract with a Swedish documentary crew which they have to honour,  people WILL get to know everything, just that they cant tell everything right now but in time everyone will know all the details.

(8) They expeditions to this anomaly require a lot of planning and preparation, so they just can’t go on a split second decision.

(9) In the beginning, no-one wanted to help them with this expedition. They tried to get some sponsors with no success. They did agree to go public because they both knew that this was something strange and out of the ordinary!

(10) They will do everything in their power to go back down there, and people have to have patience, let the team take their time to do this in a professional way.

(11) Dennis is a little bit angry with the people who try to make the team out to be a hoax. He also tells that IF this would have been a hoax…they would have MESSED up their whole career…and they are NOT THAT STUPID to do that.  A great deal of their own personal finances have been spent trying to get to the bottom of this mystery.

(12) They do have a agreement with the Swedish television company Titan. Titan is doing an excellent job and documenting what the Ocean Explorer Team is doing at all time.

(13) When the divers brought a sample rock back from the anomaly and took a better look at it in the boat, a black substance (almost like powder) came off. Dennis smeared it between his fingers and it looked like burned coal.

(14) When they sent down the ROV (Remotely operated underwater vehicle)…they just waited for the ROV to arrive the “rock-structure”. When they looked further on they watched a straight wall on their monitor. They went around this structure, and they got even more surprised. They all felt like small children because of the excitement!Further they discovered hallways/corridors, and 90 degree angles! As above…they cant tell all about it because of their contract. But in time they will let us know what it is.

(15) They are just normal people, and this is not a lie. When they post that they are down in the harbour @ their boat. People can come for a visit. And they try to distance themselves from the bullshit from negative people.

(16) They are hunted by the media from all over the world, and Dennis understands the sometimes unwelcome publicity. He would have done the same if he was a journalist.

(17) They don’t have the knowledge to adequately explain the structure /  anomaly, and therefore they have contacted experts in Marine Biology and Geology.

(18) The team have recieved some strange emails which could be interpreted as threats but nothing they are worried about.

(19) No writing found on the object so far.

Peter Lindberg is interviewed by the documentary crew on board the Ancylus.

Upset Science

According to what is understood my modern geologists the last time the Baltic Sea was free of glacial ice and water was approximately 40 million years ago.  Therefore if we were to get confirmation that the object has definitely been constructed rather than a naturally produced feature then there would be some explaining to do by the scientific community.  At this point in time there are already strong indications of something artificial due to the many straight lines, right angles, circular holes and very straight lined rectangular depressions. Despite suggestions the object is a pillow basalt this does not explain many of the bizarre and unnatural features.

Divers prepare to make the 80 metre dive down to the anomaly below.

Baltic Sea

The Baltic Sea, with its unique brackish water, is a result of meltwater from the Weichsel glaciation combining with saltwater from the North Sea when the straits between Sweden and Denmark opened. Initially, when the ice began melting about 10,300 ybp, seawater filled the isostatically depressed area, a temporary marine incursion that geologists dub the Yoldia Sea. Then, as post-glacial isostatic rebound lifted the region about 9500 ybp, the deepest basin of the Baltic became a freshwater lake, in palaeological contexts referred to as Ancylus Lake, which is identifiable in the freshwater fauna found in sediment cores. The lake was filled by glacial runoff, but as worldwide sea level continued rising, saltwater again breached the sill about 8000 ybp, forming a marine Littorina Sea which was followed by another freshwater phase before the present brackish marine system was established.

The presence of underwater river valleys and the absence of sea sediments beneath the series of glacial deposits show that in preglacial times the Baltic Sea was dry land. During at least the last Ice Age, the basin of the Baltic Sea was completely covered with ice. Only about 13,000 years ago the Baltic was connected with the ocean, allowing seawater to fill the basin.

Whitley Streiber On The Baltic Anomaly

On Monday, June 18, 2012, Whitley Strieber, of UnkownCountry.com, joined Coast to Coast AM‘s George Noory during the programme’s opening news segment to discuss the Baltic Anomaly. George immediately cut to the chase – “Whitley, this is a bizarre story!”

To which, Strieber replied,

“Well, it’s a very interesting story because this object, at some point in the past, was probably above water. In other words, before the end of the last Ice Age, in the area where it is, the sea level was much lower because all the sea water was trapped in the glaciers. And, at that time, what appear to be stone fireplaces on the surface of it, may have been in use. And if that’s true, and if there are carbon deposits on those stone surfaces, it’s probably going to be possible to find out about how old it is and when fires were lit there. And it could turn out to be on of the oldest human artifacts ever found on the planet, rivaling the age of Gobekli Tepe in Turkey, which has recently been found to be 14,000 years old.

“This could potentially be a very exciting archaeological find.” Gobekli Tepe is an archaeological site located about eight miles northeast of Sanliurfa, Turkey, not far from the Syrain border. The circles of limestone columns being excavated weigh from 7 to 15 tons each and are estimated to be at least 12,000 years old, making them older than the Egypt, Sumeria and Stonehenge.”

George then asked Strieber if this mysterious formation could possibly have been an island that just went down.

Strieber replied, “Well, yes. Exactly. It could have been an island. It’s an unusual formation because of the drag lines that appear to be suggesting that at some point it moved underwater. It’s going to take examination by geologists to tell us what that’s all about.”

“It looks like something that may very well have been an island in the distant past, in what was then a shallow sea. And which had been in use and then when the glaciers melted and the sea levels rose dramatically 14,000 years ago it was inundated and the remains left there could be a really, really valuable archaeological find.”

Despite the best attempts to identify the object, whatever it is lying submerged 80 metres deep on the bottom of the Baltic Sea so far remains unexplained.  Perhaps this particular expedition can help determine once and for all if this truly is a long forgotten piece of our true hidden human history and if so, would be the archaeological equivalent of finding a Boeing 767 in ancient Egypt.

Baltic Anomaly: Establishment Press Spin Scam Story

Posted on June 30, 2012

What is it that the mainstream press is afraid of when reporting anything unexplained and why do they go to such extreme lengths to debunk what they can’t understand?

Whenever a genuine mystery presents itself into the mainstream consciousness and no immediate explanation can be found, a queue of left-brained closed minded types foaming at the mouth will inevitably line up to shoot it down – simply because it defies explanation and must be made to fit their own narrow paradigm at any cost.

Scam story by LifesLittleMysteries.com

The latest offering of establishment defending bile comes from an article entitled “Is the Baltic Sea ‘Sunken UFO’ an Elaborate Scam?” which surfaced a few days ago on the site – LifesLittleMysteries.com.  Since then, the same article has been reprinted more than a dozen times across many media outlets.  More on that in a minute…

Meanwhile, LifesLittleMysteries.com’s “about” page informs us – “Life’s Little Mysteries answers fascinating questions about the world around you and the stuff in it, from things in the news and on your mind to crazy questions you didn’t even know you had. Our team of experienced reporters and editors do serious research while having loads of fun, to explain the world’s objects and phenomena, natural and man-made.”

A quick check reveals the staff have backgrounds writing for a whole host of establishment science publications where 200ft genuinely unexplainable objects that defy known historical timeframes and challenge dogma are about as welcome as weevils in their Cornflakes.  So what “serious research” have they conducted into the Baltic Anomaly?  Judging by the content and the tone of the article – none whatsoever. Nor did they actually bother to contact OceanX it would seem.

Corporate Media Network

Another quick check reveals that the LifesLittleMysteries.com is a small offshoot of the main corporate mother-ship owned by parent company TechMediaNetwork.com which primarily runs information technology and science websites such as Space.com, Livescience.com and another dozen or so equally forgettable geek sites where you can no doubt learn what make and serial number of battery goes in your iPad.

TechMediaNetwork describe themselves as -  “a publisher of high-quality original content with owned and operated brands and an advertising partner network that combined, reach 98 million unique readers monthly, plus millions more through syndication to major media partners.”

Regardless, however respected and popular these publications claim to be with the hoards of vaccine-damaged mainstream fluoride-heads, these sites should stay well away from anything esoteric or outwith the paradigm of mainstream science.  Their “expert” opinions on subjects such as the Baltic Anomaly are less than worthless since they already founded on a position of sneering disbelief.  Such opinions serve no purpose other than to promote a pseudosceptic mindset rather than a genuinely open-minded investigative approach which is what is required in the instance of the Baltic Anomaly.

Experts tell us that….

The standard operating manual for debunking paranormal claims or anything that doesn’t fit inside a test tube is to wheel out the nearest left brained “expert” who, (usually fearing his renewal of tenure), will tell you that whatever the mystery may be, it can all be explained away by swamp gas, nearby lighthouses and Venus in close transit to Uranus.

OceanX Team Under Attack

In this case though, the strategy seems to be to try and pour cold water on this potentially explosive discovery by taking a swipe at the character of one of the OceanX Co-Founders -  painting the OceanX team as publicity seeking scam artists which they most definitely are not. Anyone who has been following the team’s work closely for even the last few months knows these guys are genuinely baffled by what they’ve found.  Is there a TV production company involved? – Yes. Will they be selling a documentary on the mysterious anomaly? -Yes. This has been well known for a long time and the OceanX team make no secret of that fact.  Sending a ten man team with state of the art equipment to dive in the Baltic for up to a week is an expensive business – over 1 million Euros at least.

The article accuses OceanX team co-founder Peter Lindberg and tries (unsuccessfully) to convince us all it’s not worth looking at.

“Peter Lindberg, head of the Ocean X Team, either has let his imagination run wild or has an ulterior motive, according to Jonathon Hill, a researcher at the Mars Space Flight Facility at Arizona State University, who analyzes images of planetary surface features taken during NASA’s Mars missions.”

Hill went on…

“Whenever people make extraordinary claims, it’s always a good idea to consider for a moment whether they are personally benefiting from the claim or if it’s a truly objective observation,” Hill told Life’s Little Mysteries.

“In this case, the team clearly has a lot to gain from an extraordinary claim,” he said. “Mr. Lindberg is already making plans to take ‘wealthy tourists’ down in his submarine to view the object. If he had used a rock hammer to break off a small piece of the object, a geologist could have determined whether it was a pillow basalt in a few minutes. But if it turned out to be a pillow basalt and not a ‘mysterious UFO-like object’, Mr. Lindberg wouldn’t have much of a business plan, would he?”

Pillow basalts are the new black

First of all, OceanX have not taken ANYONE down in a submarine.  Secondly the team DID try and break a piece off and found they couldn’t with the tools they had – instead they DID bring back loose rock samples from the top of the anomaly which are being studied as we speak – information which the article rather conveniently omits. Searching Google images for pillow basalt that looks even remotely similar to the Baltic Anomaly proved a futile business and despite our attempts we could not find any with staircases, corridors or multiple right angled depressions – maybe Mr Hill knows of a secret stash of 200ft wide 50 ft high geometric pillow basalts other than the ludicrously small and unimpressive images available on Google?

NASA – Never A Straight Answer

Getting a NASA representative to criticise someone else regarding revealing the true nature of unexplained anomalies is surely (pardon my French)- taking the piss! Do they not realise that everyone already knows of NASA’s less than impressive record when it comes to telling the truth about features on other planets and the multiple instances where even their own staff have exposed their covering up the truth about planetary features they’d rather the public didn’t know anything about.

Meanwhile, TechMediaNetwork seem to have a lot of corporate partner affiliations and so the exact same article which originated on LifesLittleMysteries.com was republished multiple times on Discovery News, I Techpress, LiveScience, NASW, e!ScienceNews then the following day on MSNBC. It even made it’s way onto such bastians of truth as Yahoo News who with unquestioning adoration, set off anew chain reaction of pointless reprints.

Unfortunately for the majority of readers and followers who are genuinely interested in discovering the true nature of the Baltic Anomaly, the corporate tentacles of our lamestream media reach into every conceivable dark sticky corner of the internet where content starved websites and blogs gladly republish the same easily digestible soundbites.

If anyone was still a little unsure of the extent of the sneering Olympian bias of LifesLittleMysteries.com then they need look no further than the three article links directly underneath the main story and in picture captions above the headline.
